Researching this project has definitely added another layer of perspective on WWII. Just looking at the documents for PFC Adame has given me more of a real feeling of sacrifice made for the freedoms US citizens enjoy today. If I could talk to my soldier, I would ask him what it was like going into war. I would also ask him whether he knew it way likely he would be killed in combat. I would also thank him for his service. The most important source was the 44 page IDPF file that I received. This project redefines gratitude in that I know a little more about an individual soldier's life and what he left behind. I'm thankful for heroes like Jose Adame.
